Studio History

The Entenman Studio of Dance was founded by Laura Estelle Entenman in 1949.  Laura Estelle began her teaching career in Boonville, MO.  After obtaining her professional training from the Egan School of the Theatre in Los Angeles, she returned to Boonville to open her first school of dance and drama.

After meeting her husband, Sgt. Orville B. Entenman, World War II broke and Laura Estelle enlisted in the Women's Marine Corp.  She served until her retirement at the rank of Major in 1953. 

Laura Estelle was instrumental in the formation of the Omaha Dance Teachers Association (ODTA), where she was a charter member and the group's first president.   She operated The Entenman Studio of Dance until her death in 1979.

Patricia A. Nastase operated the studio for another 40 years until its final concert on 6/16/19. The 70th concert was celebrated on Father's Day and had an alumni dance & one last famous Rodeo dance. Miss Patti was lucky enough to have taught her children & grandchildren the art of dance.

Since its foundation, the studio maintained a reputation for very high standards and artistic opportunity and established a great foundation of tradition, discipline, technique and passion.

Our dedicated teaching staff is comprised of former students.  Each are unique in their field and are dedicated to providing the best dance education possible.

With a total of over 75 years of teaching experience, our teachers are focused on educating the dancers of tomorrow.  Our focus is helping our students reach their full potential, both on and off stage.
